Sketch of school magazine front cover

This is my first sketch of my school magazine preliminary task, it shows the basic ideas that i have had for my school magazine, this sketch shows four main sections, academic, sports, social and interviews. This magazine has a main image that shows a pupil doing an activity, such as music or studying, this image will show that the school is a proper place  of work, but lets the fun to be shown. This magazine will include a free cd from all of the music department. This will make the pupils intrested and purchase the magazine, it will only cost 20p because we need to keep the cost loww to keep pupils intrested. This magazine willl be targeted towards everyone from yr7 untill yr 13 so to keep the whole school included and keep, any activities and school events information available to everyone.

What i am going to include in my school magazine

My school magazine will incorporate everything that i like and what i have asked others about. I will include bright colours, big images, exclusive storys and titles. I will also put articles in for all age ranges from yr7 to yr13. This will help me gain a larger audience and help me create a wider range of readers.

Preliminary Exercise

Using DTP and an image manipulation program, produce the front page of a new school/ college ,magazine, featuring a photograph of a student in medium close up plus some appropriately laid-out text and a masthead. Additionaly candidates must produce a DTP mock-up of the layout of the contents page to demonstrate their grasp of the program.
